YOUR JOURNEY, YOUR RESULTS

Up to 94% hair reduction.*

A precision technology designed for long-lasting hair reduction, with a protocol adapted to every skin.

  • DUAL TECHNOLOGY – Alexandrite 755 nm + Nd:YAG 1064 nm
  • TAILORED – Settings adapted to your skin type and your hair
  • LONG-LASTING RESULTS – Hair becomes gradually finer and sparser

Each session reduces hair growth by around 20% on average**: the laser works on hairs in their growth phase, which only make up part of your hair at any given time. That is why several sessions, spaced over time, are needed for long-lasting reduction.

*Clinical study on underarm hair removal with a 755 nm alexandrite laser, 40 participants (skin types II and III), results maintained at 12 months. JMIR Dermatology, 2025. Results vary depending on the person, the area and the hair type.

**Generally accepted estimate, ranging from 10% to 25% depending on the area, the hair type and the person.

Laser Hair Removal - What is it
WHAT IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Laser hair removal is a method of long-lasting hair reduction that uses light energy to target the hair follicle.

It is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis: the light emitted by the laser is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, then converted into heat to target the structures responsible for regrowth.

At Innerskin, we use Clarity II™, a platform that combines two complementary wavelengths:

  • ALEXANDRITE 755 nm – Particularly suited to lighter skin types, where the protocol allows
  • Nd:YAG 1064 nm – Allows darker skin types in particular to be treated, with adapted settings

This dual technology allows our Skin Experts to adapt each session to your skin type, your hair and how the protocol progresses.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Laser hair removal is for people who wish to:

  • Achieve long-lasting hair reduction
  • Rely less on shaving or traditional hair removal
  • Enjoy smoother skin
  • Reduce problems linked to ingrown hairs
  • Treat sufficiently pigmented hair

White, very light blonde or some red hairs contain little or not enough melanin to respond effectively to the laser. Electrolysis can then be a particularly suitable alternative.

Q&A

The sensation varies depending on the area treated and individual sensitivity. It is usually felt as warmth or a brief tingling at the moment of the pulse. The settings are adjusted throughout the session to keep you comfortable.

Several sessions are needed because the laser mainly targets hairs in their active growth phase. The number and spacing of sessions vary depending on the area, your hair, your skin type and how you respond to the protocol. Your Skin Expert will define your protocol during your assessment.

Redness and slight swelling around the follicles may appear for a few hours. More rarely, marked irritation, small scabs, a burn or temporary pigmentation changes may occur. Any unusual reaction should be reported to the clinic.

Clarity II™ combines two wavelengths, Alexandrite 755 nm and Nd:YAG 1064 nm, so the protocol can be adapted to different skin types. The wavelength and settings are chosen by your Skin Expert according to your skin and your hair.

Laser hair removal provides long-lasting hair reduction. Effectively treated follicles may stop producing hair, but new hairs can appear over time due to hormonal or physiological factors. Maintenance sessions may therefore be recommended depending on the person and the area.

No. The effectiveness of the laser depends in particular on the presence of melanin in the hair. White, very light blonde and some red hairs respond little or not at all. For these hair types, electrolysis can be a suitable alternative.

As a precaution, Innerskin does not perform laser hair removal during pregnancy. The protocol can be started or resumed afterwards, depending on your situation.

Before your appointment, the area must be shaved according to the instructions given by your Skin Expert. Methods that pull the hair out at the root, such as waxing or epilators, must be avoided before the protocol so that the follicle can be targeted.

Sun exposure and tanning also require particular care before and after a session. Your Skin Expert will give you instructions suited to your skin type, the area and the time of year.

Yes, in certain situations, but the nature of the hair must be assessed first. Thick, sufficiently pigmented hair may be suitable for laser, while fine or downy hair on certain areas of the face may carry a risk of paradoxical stimulation.

That is why each hormone-dependent area is assessed specifically at Innerskin. Where laser is not appropriate, electrolysis may be preferred.

Hair growth changes throughout life. Hormonal or physiological changes can lead to new hairs appearing or activate follicles that were previously less active. Occasional maintenance sessions can then be offered to maintain your results.

Laser can quickly treat large areas when the hairs contain enough melanin. Electrolysis treats each follicle individually and does not depend on hair colour.

The two technologies are therefore complementary: laser is particularly suited to pigmented hair and larger areas, while electrolysis can treat white, blonde, red or isolated hairs, or hair types for which laser is not appropriate.

Laser hair removal is not suitable in every situation. Pregnancy, certain photosensitising medications, certain skin conditions or recent sun exposure may require the protocol to be postponed or adapted.

A prior assessment is always carried out to check that there are no contraindications and to determine the right settings for your skin.
